N.Y.C. Economics Teacher of the Year

      In 2012 I was nominated and received the John Cunningham award for demonstrating exemplary leadership in the field of economics education. Before his death, John Cunningham was an Economics instructor in Staten Island in the 1970’s and was considered a teaching pioneer in the field.  Coincidentally, he was my superior when I began teaching in 1985.
